Mission
To advance the quality, safety and global relationship of the greater Puget Sound food system while advocating for the cultivation, valuation, and proper compensation of current and future food scientists.
Programs
3 programs
Cascadia IFT student achievement awards are designed for high school, community college, undergraduate and graduate students who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a science-based program focused on a career in the food industry. 10 scholarship recipients were each awarded amounts ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 during the fiscal year.
Golf Outing happened every Summer, about 15 volunteers help plan and execute this event. The main purpose of this event was to help fund scholarship.
Other Program services involved partnering with the Washington School of Food Science to host the 3rd annual Industry Expo as well as conducting a Krusteaz Research and Development Lab Tour in September 2024.
