The castine historical society collects, preserves and exhibits materials that illuminate the rich history of the castine - bagaduce river area and, through it, that of new england and america, from pre-colonial times to the present. In doing so, the society seeks to engage residents and visitors of all ages in the exploration and stewardship of castine's diverse historical resources.
