Ccse's pro-bono technical assistance (ta) to schools consists of program assistance, training, instructional coaching to ensure that schools are equipped and staffed to meet the needs of students with disabilities and that teachers are well prepared in best practices in inclusive education to serve all the students in their classrooms. Services include: monthly individual teacher and team coaching by ccse's instructional coach, in-service training and topical workshops; implementing appropriate modifications and accomodations; year-long capacity building assistance tailored to a school's needs. Includes over 200 hours of instructional coaching and consulting to grantee and former grantee schools in addition to select other schools. Ta is designed to ensure the long-term success, viability and sustainability of inclusion programs funded by ccse.
Ccse's free-of-charge family support & advocacy helps families of children with disabilities navigate the frequently complex maze of services by providing current information on programs and community resources. It also provides spiritual and practical support for parents on the journey to raising a child with a disability and includes parent networking and social opportunities at ccse's annual fall family festival and other events.
