Cedar Summerstock Theatre

Building Operation & Management: At the end of the prior fiscal year CST acquired land building and equipment from another non-profit organization in Mitchell County Iowa. CST took over the management and operation of CST South Square a 35,000 square foot former school building and adjacent grounds as a mixed-use community building. CST South Square houses a variety of long-term tenants in former classrooms and also host short-term renters who use the building on an hourly or daily basis for private events. During the current fiscal year CST worked on defining the mission of South Square and its potential community impact. Revenue is from leases and rentals expenses are those associated with building maintenance and improvements.

Community Events: As part of the mission South Square strives to bring people together through the organization of community events such as concerts bingo and other events.

Additional program services include 1 musical theater camps for community youth where they learn about acting and theater production and perform for parents siblings and friends 2 cabaret performances at local venues and 3 operate a community coffee shop.
