Mission
To be a clearinghouse of evidence-based information that will educate the community on dyslexia, as well as how to navigate the current education system with this learning disability by providing resources to those in need. High profile events will create spaces of celebration and awareness within the community at large. Community outreach events will be organized and offered to parents and teachers alike including experience dyslexia simulator as well as evidence-based research on the importance of early identification and interventions. We will also work with other organizations to scholarship teachers who want to become dyslexia certified and/or become qualified instructors. Additionally, we work with medical professionals to obtain medical insurance coverage for the identification and treatment of dyslexia.

Celebrate dyslexia is working to remove barriers to access of information, education, and intervention for students with dyslexia and their families. Strategies include experiential dyslexia 101 training seminars, the launch of a generation 28 open-enrollment charter school, celebrate dyslexia schools, and established the celebrate dyslexia learning center. The celebrate dyslexia learning center serves as a hub of intense training and resources for all local school districts. The learning center proposes to increase the numbers of qualified instructors and certified academic language therapists. The ultimate goal is for every school district in region 20 to be able to hire qualified individuals to develop in house training.
Celebrate dyslexia lives up to its mission of celebrating dyslexia by sponsoring high profile events that will bring the community together highlighting the strengths of dyslexia and celebrating those who areimpacted by it. Activities included the the san antonio local organizing committee read to the final four and the dyslexia does not discriminate campaign.
