Programs
2 programs
Performance opportunities: our performance program provides students with the opportunity to engage with the community through expressive ballet performances, and discover what the day to day in a professional ballet career offers. These performances serve as a critical platform for dancers to apply their technical skills in front of an audience, while also offering an enriching cultural experience to the community. In the 2023/24 season, we presented 5 performances, reaching an audience of over 2100 individuals. These performances included collaborations with local organizations and district schools, ensuring that ballet is accessible to all members of the community.
Community engagement:this program provides outreach initiatives, where students work with underserved communities, offering ballet storytimes and performances to foster cultural appreciation and inspire a love for the arts. This program is central to our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access (deia). We ensure that ballet education is accessible to all youth, regardless of their financial background or personal identity. Through community engagement, we partnered with 10 local schools, libraries, and local organizations or professionals, to offer storytime ballet performances that reflect and touch diverse cultural experiences and perspectives.
