Male Coalition(STAND): Works to strengthen families by helping teenage, young adult, and adult males address issues that hinder their personal development and tend to separate them from their families. The program also offers support services to single mothers who are raising adolescent male children. In addition to meetings with individual clients, staff also has weekly group meetings for teenage males, and at least twice a year offers a ten-session anger management class for adult males. This program is funded by Allegheny County Department of Human Services, Office of Children, and Youth and Families.
Youth Engagement: is an initiative of Allegheny County Office of Children, Youth and Families to heal African-American families by mobilizing community resources to help keep African-American male children in their own homes and reduce placement rates.
