The standard-bearer school district network (sbsd): sbsd is a network designed for school district leaders who are committed to a set of guiding principles, and who are seeking a safe place to think, reflect, and learn from one another using tools and resources that support building the capacity of their organizations to support continuous innovation and shared learning. The network offered a series of customized professional learning experiences to public school districts nationwide. These experiences include capacity audits, thought leaders' webinars, and various formats of professional development for teachers, district leadership and school boards.

Superintendents leadership network (sln) the superintendents leadership network was initiated in 1997 by the bellsouth foundation to offer a high-profile response to the need in the southeast for a focus on leadership development in the region's public-school districts. The uniqueness of this network lay in its focus on district-level leadership; the network was launched with the understanding that strong school-site leadership, while essential for successful schools and high-achieving students, would last only as long as the school district could support, sustain, nurture, and continually develop that leadership. During the year the network hosted three leadership institutes for over 50 superintendents.

Expenses: $287K

The ohio innovative school district network: this network offers a vibrant learning community that gives full access to premium resources as well as support from peers who are also leading the charge to transform their schools and school districts. The network offered a series of customized professional learning experiences to public school districts in northeast and central ohio. These experiences included principal leadership training, designing engaging work training sessions for teachers, superintendents' leadership team meeting facilitation, and school board conferences featuring timely topics and national thought leaders.
