The mission of CWAE is to promote human development and reduce societal problems by strengthening the underlying neurophysiology of learning and behavior.

Programs

CWAE provides meditation-based stress-management and cognitive-development programs to schools and community members in low income, inner-city neighborhoods since 2007. Effects of the program include reductions in violence and suspensions, increases in attendance, school-wide GPA, and measures of psychological wellbeing, including self-esteem and reduced anxiety. For teachers and administrators, benefits include significant improvements in emotional intelligence, perceived stress and psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, and anger.
