Connect persons with a visual impairment or blindness with services and programs for the blind; provide support through support groups; and provide training in daily living skills, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility.

Services provided to consumers of the department of rehabilitation, blind field services division.

Older individuals who are blind program: grant program to provide information & referral services, support services, assistive technology aids, devices, and training, travel training, communication skills, and daily living skills training to persons with severe vision loss who are aged 55 or older in order to promote and assist persons in regaining an independent lifestyle. Support groups meet both in-person and remotely. Service areas include merced and mariposa counties.
