The purpose of cwuw is to improve the quality of health for urban women. Cwuw empowers women to become proactive in their health through education, advocacy, care and prevention--mind, body and spirit.

Connection for wellness: connection 4 wellness is cwuw's signature wellness and support program designed to meet the holistic needs of women and their families. In 2024 alone, the program has supported over 323 women through a comprehensive network of care.we provide wraparound services that include mental health support, wellness education, and social support systems to help women thrive. Participants are connected to trusted mental health providers, engage in wellness-centered programming, and receive individualized guidance to navigate life's challenges with dignity and strength.through connection 4 wellness, cwuw continues to uplift women in marion county by promoting healing, resilience, and long-term well-being.

Early connection: early connection is cwuw's wellness and leadership program designed specifically for young women ages 18-24. Modeled after our successful connection 4 wellness framework, early connection offers wraparound wellness services alongside leadership development, advocacy training, and social support tailored to the unique experiences of young women.in 2024, the program has trained over 30 young women and engaged more than 175 participants through workshops, mentorship, and community events.at the heart of early connection is the young women's advisory council (ywac) - a dynamic group of emerging leaders who represent cwuw as part of a national network of young women's programs. Ywac members receive intensive training in civic engagement, policy advocacy, and community leadership, positioning them to be powerful voices for change.early connection builds the foundation for lifelong wellness, confidence, and community leadership among the next generation.
