The central brain tumor registry of the united states (cbtrus) is a not- for-profit corporation committed to providing a resource for gathering and disseminating current epidemiologic data on all primary brain and other central nervous system tumors, malignant and non-malignant, for the purposes of accurately describing their incidence and survival patterns, evaluating diagnosis and treatment, facilitating etiologic studies, establishing aware of the disease, and ultimately, for the prevention of all brain and other central nervous system tumors.
