To further collaborative efforts of member hospitals to improve the quality, value and accessibility of health care in the central ohio region.

Funding psychiatric crisis and emergency services for 3 city hospitals for overtime and retention of physicians and behavior health clinicians. Increase regional access to a full continuum of quality behavioral health and addiction services by optimizing the impact of the new psychiatric crisis care center and strengthening linkages with community mental health providers - franklin county crisis care center, co-chair crisis care community advisory council, responsible for advising adamh and ri international through the opening of the crisis center. Ensure publicly facing dashboard under development includes metric important to hospitals (i.e. Reduction in ed utilization). Facilitate education opportunities between ri international and hospital personnel (i.e. Ed staff, psych unit managers) ahead of crisis center opening to promote understanding of center's services and protocols for admissions and transfers.
Oversee coordination among hospital systems and the columbus and franklin county public health departments to develop a robust community needs health assessment that meets irs requirements and provides regional health data and insights.
Collaborate with member health systems and other partners to create and implement solutions to improve recruitment, retention and training of the region's healthcare workforce. Educating and assisting hospitals in monitoring and reducing levels of opiate prescribed for a variety of procedures. Work with community to provide overdose education and prevention programs. Assisted hospitals in identifying translation and language needs in central ohio and developing translated materials to meet local needs in conjunction with federal grants. Provided free resources through www.healthinfotranslation.org to help patients access healthcare related information in 15 different languages. Miscellaneous projects in development for relevant issues impacting the health and wellness of central ohioans and the efforts of the hospital systems in addressing them.
