Will serve & advocate for the medically underserved individuals living or working in centre county.

Programs

Provide uninsured and underinsured residents of centre county with access to free restorative and acute primary dental care: in fy 2024, provided 1,869 unique patients in the dental clinic with 1,387 patient visits. Dentists and dental hygienists (many volunteers) provided emergency evaluations of patients with severe dental pain, extracted teeth decayed beyond salvaging, restored teeth that could be salvaged, and provided regular cleaning and hygiene services. Some designated revenues are restricted to specialist services and amounts roll over into the next fiscal year. The value of these visits is estimated at $656,650.

Expenses: $448K

Provide free prescription medications to 504 unique patients that are purchased directly by cvim, donated or applied for through the medication assistance program (map). Map is a team of volunteers who apply for free medication programs at pharmaceutical companies on behalf of cvim patients. In fy 2024, map accessed approximately $1,278,977 worth of medications from pharmaceutical companies to be provided to cvim patients. The value of these prescription medications is not considered a donation to the organization and thus is not reflected in financial statements.

Expenses: $140K

Provide access to free case management services to assist uninsured and underinsured residents of centre county to enroll in and utilize existing medical assistance and other social service programs such as heat and rent assistance, the food bank, and office of vocational rehabilitation services. In fy 2024, 444 unique patients were 744 visits for these services. The value of these visits is estimated at $32,756.
