Claoc health care coalition is addressing orange county's healthcare talent shortage by increasing the qualified talent pool and building a sustainable, evergreen talent pipeline. By partnering with five top healthcare institutions in oc, we are aligning efforts to expand the healthcare talent pipeline and ensure orange county has the qualified workforce needed to deliver exceptional care now and into the future. These leaders are working to address shared workforce challenges, including talent shortages in high-demand roles, training capacity limits, and retention hurdles.
National talent collaborative is a unique consortium of regional leaders of business-engaged organizations with a shared commitment to talent and workforce development across the united states. Regional leaders meet regularly to share best practices and to explore further collaboration, such as sharing common data platforms, speaking with a collective voice, and working together to drive broad-scale, systemic change across the country.
The claoc ai talent lab cultivates an inclusive and future-ready workforce for the ai era. Through strategic partnerships, applied learning programs, and cross-sector collaboration, the lab strengthens orange county's capacity to lead in innovative ai development. Claoc brings together civic and business leaders, ai-focused entrepreneurs, and education organizations to cultivate and recruit the diverse talent needed now and in the future to support a robust ai-infused economy in oc. We partner with industry and education through a monthly ai working group and a quarterly tech leaders group to stay responsive to the region's evolving ai ecosystem. Since beginning the ai talent lab has engaged over 3,700 participants through panels, summits, and ecosystem events: reached 150 high school, community college, and university students through industry-sponsored ai projects and certifications; delivered 100+ micro-internships in collaboration with public and private partners; positioned oc as a thought leader through the state of ai in oc whitepaper and developed oc ai guiding principles.
Oc fellows is a two-year program designed to develop and retain diverse young professionals in orange county. It supports recent university graduates employed at oc-based companies by offering quarterly learning and social events, as well as unique opportunities to participate in career-focused experiences.the program also emphasizes community engagement with local high school and university students, helping fellows build meaningful connections and give back. Through skill-building and networking, oc fellows strengthens ties to orange county leaders, companies, and career opportunities equipping participants to thrive as the region's next generation of business leaders.program accomplishments - 90+% of 160 current and past oc fellows alumni are still employed in oc. 5th cohort of oc fellows launched.
College career experiences are designed to empower college students to launch successful, fulfilling careers through hands-on learning and industry connections. In collaboration with leading member companies, we provide exceptional career development experiences that enhance students' resumes and offer meaningful exposure to the professional world.additionally, the workplace mentoring program is tailored for university juniors and seniors. The program helps build the skills and confidence to land internships and full-time roles. Students will also explore options for graduate school and discover how to navigate their career path with purpose. This isn't just about mentorship-it's about building connections that matter.
