The chaffee crossing historic preservation organization strives to research, document, preserve, and restore buildings, structures, artifacts, and personal accounts that relate to fort chaffee and its many uses throughout history and exclusively overseeing such items. The corporation established the museum of chaffee history ("museum") to oversee the collection, preservation, conservation, documentation, and maintenance of the history and information of fort chaffee. The museum is on the national register of historic places. The purpose of the museum is to acquire and exhibit any item(s) with a significant or particular importance to the history of fort chaffee as well as to make available a public historical record. The museum houses all artificats, documents, paintings, and other assets relative to the history of fort chaffee in one designated property. The museum collection preserves the history of fort chaffee, which is of benefit use to the citizens in the county of sebastian, ar.
