Mission
The mission of chamber music amici is to produce excellent, affordable chamber music concerts with appeal to all ages. Our motto is "creating community through great music." activities will also include educational outreach to the local school districts and student arts organizations to promote the development of a new generation of chamber music lovers.
Programs
3 programs
Educational outreach during our 2023-2024 season we continue to offer students 5 tickets and 5 tickets also to adults who accompany students. We took our education enrichment program to three schools, edgewood community elementary school and charlemane french immersion school, (both in the 4j school district), in the fall and to ridgeview elementary school in springfield. We engage a total of 275 students.
Community outreach we performed four outdoor concerts at mt. Pisgah arboretum during our summer series: august 1 & 2 and september 2 & 3. Free lawn seating was offered to those who pre-registerd. Indoor seating was offered at 35, 5 for students. Cma continued to offer free concerts at cascade manor saturdays before our wildish theater concerts and one concert in the summer before one of our mt. Pisgah concerts.
Art contests for the third season our art contest has been a commission. We've commissioned an oregon artist to create new works of art for amici to use for marketing purposes, this year for our 2024- 2025 season. For the 15th time we held our art show and reception at the emerald art center in springfield. The reception opening was held in tandem with the city of springfield's second friday artwalk and a music program was provided by the willamette valley violin academy.
