Family education & individualizaour classes, groups, and individualized supports are rooted in science and designed to help parents develop skills to raise healthy, thriving children. It includes: a breastfeeding and childbirth (abc) program, the family learning center, fathers resource and networking community (franc), and positive parenting & partnership (p3). A breastfeeding and childbirth (abc) program provides education and support to families who are expecting a child or recently welcomed a new child into their life. Prenatal classes led by certified specialists cover topics from what to expect during labor and delivery to preparing to be a first-time mom or dad.
Community education: at champions for children, we believe that every child deserves to feel safe at home and to be successful in life. By educating children and adults in our community about what it takes to make that happen, we spread the powerful impact of our programs far beyond the children, parents, and caregivers who directly participate in them. From children who find the courage to come forward about abuse to local doctors who talk to patients about their child's development, our community education efforts help make tampa bay a better place to grow up. Our community education efforts include kids on the block (kotb), community initiatives & partnerships, and professional development.
