Mission
Our mission is to inspire kids to be champions for wildlife using art and education. We believe the more you learn, the more you love, the more you protect.

In addition to the in-class programming, Champions for Wildlife partnered with the Polk County School District to lead 40 after-school programs also on native North Carolina wildlife with a focus on creating art to demonstrate appreciation of that wildlife. This programming reached children in K-8th grades in five schools.
After Hurricane Helene, Champions for Wildlife assembled & distributed wildlife art kits for kids who lost everything in the storm. Thanks to donors and volunteers, we delivered the Sunshine and Smiles kits to over 500 children in Western NC, including all foster children in Polk County in grades K-5th.
