Mission

Island Arts fosters and provides creative, artistic opportunities in Vermont's Grand Isle County through performances, classes, galleries, concerts, and youth programs. This was Island Arts 40th anniversary year which was highlighted by recognizing long time contributors and founding members. Additionally, 2024 saw the start of renovations on the Island Arts performance center which is a 19th century barn. The renovations started in 2024 include a new roof with insulation and exhaust fans.

Events and Fundraisers presented by Island Arts in 2024, our fortieth anniversary, with scholarships offered to our Grand Isle County VT residents. For the 40th anniversary volunteers and long time contributors/founders were recognized. Public performances presented: Sohyun Anh- a classical music recital on a grand piano. Bella Voca Band & barn dance, Youth Opera Company, Eclectica String Quartet, Jeh Kulu Dance & Drum Theater, A Cappella Lollapalooza, The Dixie Six, Haiduck & Heckendorn, Vermont Jazz Ensemble, and Marsh Lights. We partnered with the Vermont Astronomical Society offering a free family event night of star gazing with a Spontaneous Evening Under the Stars at the Orchard Hill Observatory in Alburgh VT. We conducted several successful Book Sales and a Silent Auction. For more information visit www.islandarts.org.
