Programs
1 program
Community outreach & volunteer program - chance shelter provides pet supplies, basic veterinarian assistance (spay/neuter, vaccinations) for low income, unhoused and at risk community members. We do this through our alliance with our cities human services and vitality resource center where we are located every monday and friday. Chance shelter participates in many of our city and surrounding communities homeless outreach & veteran events, including project connect, hope, and city of surprise vet fest. We actively advocate for pets through raising community awareness, at these and many other events, including starting up our youth pet safety and awareness presentations again which will be offered at various locations within our city. Our foster and volunteer program remain strong, with quarterly volunteer meetings, pet cpr classes and many opportunities to attend events to advocate for pets.
