To empower people with disabilities to achieve their highest level of independence through high quality and diverse support services.

A host home program afffords the opportunity for a person with a disability to choose to live with an individual couple or a family in the community to share their life experiences together. The individual thus becomes a valued member of the home family and develops permanent relationships that then help that individual grow and develop. The family receives a monthly stipend plus room and board for suporting the individual with disabilities in their home. Chariton valley professional management staff oversees services ensures compliance with state and federal guidelines and provides ongoing support to the family and individuals.
Independent living skills development ilsd - types of services and supports provided include skill training in activities of daily living including but not limited to: hygiene menu planning meal preparation home environment laundry budgeting and camparison shopping. Transportation assistance is also provided for essential errands such as doctor's appointments grocery shopping stops at the pharmacy and often to and from work.
