The Charleston Horticultural Society provides quality educational programming that supports efforts, both big and small, to create beautiful, sustainable green spaces; fosters community partnerships; and preserves our legacy of horticulture in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Programs

2 programs

Our monthly educational Lecture Series, free to current CHS members, welcomes horticultural experts from all over the country, as well as locally, sharing their experiences and expertise on a variety of subjects from landscape design and preservation to butterflies and world travel. Our lectures always are tailored to relevancy of gardening and growing here in the Lowcountry and are attending by over 500 members .

Expenses: $7K

Chs offers classes and workshops throughout the year on a wide variety of gardening and growing topics here in the lowcountry. They are attended by over 500 members and visitors each season. We also offer training programs for garden docents and more advanced studies in horticulture. Chs headquarters houses an educational center with meeting and classroom spaces.
