Mission
The Charlotte Film Societys primary mission is to bring arthouse foreign and independent films to Charlotte and to educate, enable and engage the community through film. The Independent Picture House, and is open year around.
Programs
3 programs
Charlotte Film Festival is held once a year in the fall. 20 countries were represented and over 100 films were screened to the general public.
The Community Impact Film Series focuses on health and social issues. During 2023, screening topics covered women's health, mental health and homelessness. Each screening is followed by a panel discussion led by experts and a resource fair. This service is free of charges to patrons.
Other Program Services: 3 Indie on Wheels film screenings take us on the road to various community venues in Charlotte to present films to the general public. These screenings are free of charge to patrons
