The charlottesville business innovation council's (cbic) mission is to educate, celebrate, and advocate for charlottesville, virginia's technology community and to accelerate technology innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.

Educational programs and networking events - cbic organizes and hosts a series of panel discussions covering topics of interest to members of the high-tech and entrepreneurial communities. Likewise, either alone or with partner organizations, cbic organizes events where entrepreneurs and people in high-tech industries can meet, discuss areas of common interest, and form professional relationships.
Cbic awards gala - an annual event that gathers nearly 400 business leaders, entrepreneurs, government officials, and academics to honor individuals and organizations for their noteworthy contributions to the marketplace through their high-tech innovation and leadership. Cbic award recipients enjoy increased exposure and visibility in the media, business community, and from potential partners.
