Chase The Victory

Sneaker ball (share kindness) - as part of our commitment to strengthen the support of families grieving the loss of a child and families fighting childhood cancer, the chase the victory sneaker ball directly supports the missions of our family retreats and our kickback initiative. Our family retreats provide weeklong retreats at the beach for families nationwide who have suffered the loss of a child. Our kickback program provides gifts of sneakers to individuals all across the nation including teens fighting cancer, kids who are grieving the loss of their brother or sister, and individuals who need hope. The chase the victory sneaker ball is an inspirational night of sharing hope. Through this program, we share the stories of the bereaved families and childhood cancer families and the impact that chase the victory has had on their families and the community. Many of the recipients of our programming are invited as honored guests at our sneaker ball. This program simultaneously serves as our annual fundraising tool that enables us to serve the bereavement community and childhood cancer community year-round. It subsequently provides our supporters with a unique experience to directly link to this great cause in our community.

Shoe giveaways - sneaker kickback program - while 17-year-old chase mcdaniel was facing his own battle with cancer, he decided that he wanted to do something to give back and show kindness to others. Chase had the vision to use his love for sneakers as a way to share hope and make someone else smile. His heart and love for others are a part of his legacy that continues today. We continue to fulfill his vision by encouraging teenagers who are battling cancer: by giving them one of his favorite gifts... Sneakers. Every gift of shoes that chase the victory gives away is an opportunity to share the message of hope, spread kindness, and remind those we encounter to live life in victory, regardless of what they may be facing. To others, it may seem like just a pair of shoes. But for teens who are fighting cancer or grieving the loss of a sibling, this gift from chase the victory is a symbol of hope and a reminder that they are not alone. Whether we are presenting gifts during one of our kindness campaigns or delivering gifts to patients on the aflac cancer & blood disorder floor at children's healthcare of atlanta, these tender moments are amazing experiences surrounded in love. Each recipient has a story that will capture the heart.

Other programs include community days, second communications, and scholarships. The chase mcdaniel "chase the victory" memorial scholarship honors the legacy of carrollton high school student chase mcdaniel, who passed away on november 16, 2019, during his senior year, after a battle with lymphoma, a childhood cancer. The scholarship is awarded each year to a student who exhibits the qualities chase portrayed in his daily life. Chase inspired and encouraged others with an unwavering positive attitude and immense courage while sharing hope and spreading kindness to all that he met.
