Chebeague Island Historical Society

In 2024, The Chebeague Island Historical Society opened a new permanent exhibit entitled Creating a Sense of Place: The Evolution of the Chebeague Community. The plan is for gradual changes over time with updates from the collection.

Other key Programs and Events continued this year, including the Ellsworth Miller Memorial lecture series, the Sloops Log publication, and the annual Memorial Day service, this year focused on those who served in the years between WWII and the Vietnam War (1945-1964).

The House Tour program resumed this year -- Island Homes: Evolution of our Community which included 6 homes. This was the first house tour since before the pandemic.
