Mission
An independent non-profit agency serving the needs of mature adults in sussex county, de. They provide vast services to promote and maintain the highest quality of life and independence of senior citizens 50 and over.
Programs
3 programs
The nutrition program provides hot noon meals five days a week at various senior centers and nutrition sites. These sites are geared to the active older adult and offer recreational activities, shopping trips, arts and crafts, and socialization. These programs are monitored by a registered dietician.
The transportation program provides for the transportation to and from the nutrition sites and senior centers. Services also include transportation for weekly shopping trips, recreational activities and medical related trips. Many of the vehicles are equipped to carry wheelchairs. Volunteers are available to transport seniors to doctor visits, hospitals and medical centers throughout the area.
Other activities include facility fundraisers, cheer-a-pets and volunteer appreciation.
