To enhance and build the leadership potential of california's chicano/latino youth to build communities and create a stronger and more prosperous state and nation.

Fellowship and scholarships:a rigorous four-week comcast fellowship in the california state capitol is held annually exclusively for clylp alumni. The fellowship curriculum builds upon the training received at clylp high school leadership programs and introduces college students to the inner workings of california government and statewide policy issues. The chairez scholarship program is a new program focused on supporting alumni attending graduate school.
