Pennsylvania pre-k counts, established by the pennsylvania department of education, is a quality half-day and full-day pre-kindergarten designed for children who are between age 3 and until the entry age for kindergarten and are at risk of school failure, either because of income, language, cultural or special needs issues.

The child and adult care food program (cacfp) offers reimbursements, meal planning guidance, and training to help providers serve nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children in their care.
