Foster care - provides for the care of children who have been removed from their home for an extended period of time and ensures their safety and well-being. Treatment foster care offers family based treatment for children with severe emotional and/or behavioral disorders that require a higher level of care. 13 children served; 4 nights of regular foster care; 2,939 nights of treatment foster care.
Childrens advocacy center provides comprehensive services for children and their families who are alleged victims of sexual and/or severe physical abuse in a multi-disciplinary approach to investigation. Services provided include forensic interviews, therapy and assessments, parent education, family advocacy, and case coordination. The multi-disciplinary team includes law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, medical, and mental health providers who work jointly on these child abuse cases. Over 338 children served; held 285 forensic interviews in san juan and mckinley counties; provided 852 therapy and assessment sessions.
Casa (court appointed special advocates) program uses trained community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused, neglected, and abandoned children involved in the court system. 28 volunteers served 71 children. Expenses 246,120 revenue: 198,453
