See schedule o.ceam staff members travel to various parts of missouri to help potential supporters and advocates understand the nature and process of legislative policy change. Advocacy training provided by ceam helps empower parents and others to effectively engage in advocating for their own children and for changes to the educational structure that would support a family's right to choose educational settings for their children. Ceam staff monitors the educational advocacy landscape for opportunities for parents and other advocates to amplify their voices and tell their stories. In 2023, ceam trained additional parents in policy and communication. From those parents, many shared their personal stories through social media and in direct meetings with decision makers including school boards, the state board of education, staff members from the department of elementary and secondary education and with their elected officials.
Ceam monitors opportunities for parents to take action and connect with elected leaders. Ceam helps facilitate parent advocacy during each legislative session. Ceam organizes and engages parents in rallies and other events. Ceam helps parents connect with the media to submit letters to the editors of many newspapers.
