Childrens Healing Art Project Inc

Outreach programs: throughout the year, chap partners with other community organizations to provide healing art experiences. Examples of outreach partners from 2024 include shriners, irco, doernbecher memorial, smile, shriners art club, camp agape, camp erin, strut your kidney, autism walk, down syndrome dsno walk, outside the art room, art house 23 and camp ukandu. Chap is working to develop new partnerships with clinics and nonprofits who serve children facing medical issues and/or are marginalized or underserved.

Art club / open studio/art parties: art club is an extension of the chap hospital art-making programs and is open, for free, to any child experiencing a medical or mental health challenge. We also invite siblings and families to join. We hold art club at the chap studio once per week. It's a wonderful way for kids and their families to express themselves, enjoy getting creative, make some messy art, and continue developing the support networks and relationships established in the hospital. Our studio space also provides inclusive art workshops, summer camps and birthday parties for children and families.
