Choral Arts Alliance Of Missouri

CAAMs youth choir extension, Columbia Youth Choirs, was established in 2013 to serve students in grades K-12 of any ability level, economic background, and cultural or religious affiliation. Its membership represents over 30 public, private, and homeschool programs in the region. The seven choirs offered ensure any interested singer an opportunity to receive high-quality vocal music education at an affordable price. Columbia Youth choirs performed four concerts in their 2023-2024 season.

CAAMs newest extension, Prometheus, joins as the organizations permanent professional Artists-in-Residence. Under the direction of Artistic Director R. Paul Crabb and Assistant Director Emily Edgington Andrews, Prometheus fourteen singers hail from regions across the United States. Each of them leading professional lives as soloists and chamber musicians, their collected experience brings a special breadth and depth to the ensemble, lending Prometheus a unique versatility and intimacy. The ensemble will join CAAM once a year to perform on tour. Prometheus performed five concerts in the 2023-2024 season.

Columbia Chamber Choir, a subset of Columbia Chorale, is an auditioned mixed vocal ensemble, established to support the organizations mission to promote high quality choral music to the region by performing repertoire more suitable for smaller numbers. Columbia Chamber Choir performed two concerts in their 2023 - 2024 Season.

Columbia Community Gospel Choir (CCGC) is a free choral ensemble open to anyone in the community. CCGC strives to provide a sense of fellowship and camaraderie through gospel music, coming together once a year to perform in the Unity Benefit Concert. CCGC began as a guest ensemble in CAAMs first Unity Concert in 2016, but proved to be so successful in its first year that it has officially joined CAAM as its newest choir. One concert was performed in 2023-2024 season.
