External community grants: investing in future healthcare leaders is at the core of our mission. Through generous scholarships and educational grants, we enabled aspiring medical professionals to achieve their dreams, fueling innovation and excellence in healthcare. Our foundation also supported the funding of two school-based health centers, ensuring students have access to essential healthcare services and fostering a healthy learning environment. These centers play a crucial role in community health, providing preventive care and health education, and exemplifying our commitment to building a healthier future.
Community outreach: our dedication to community wellness is showcased through large health fairs, outdoor food markets, and community flu shots. Health fairs provided vital screenings and education promoting informed health choices. Our outdoor food markets enhanced access to fresh nutritious foods in our hospital's service area which resides in a food desert. Community flu shots protect public health, ensuring widespread immunity. Together, these initiatives embody our commitment to fostering a healthier, more vibrant community.
The christian hospital foundation is committed to building healthy communities. We support patients with new diabetes diagnoses by providing education starter kits filled with essential tools for disease management. The foundation also provides scholarships to students pursuing careers in healthcare.
