Classroom connection - oklahoma city public schools requires school uniforms, yet 83 percent of the district's students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches due to family income at or below poverty level. Sharing tree fills the gap by providing two uniform sets, one new and one lightly used, to stuents who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford them. This effort ensures that students are able to remain in the classroom and earn their education.
Community connection - this year-round program offers a dignified shopping experience for families in need, providing clothes and other necessities in a department store-like layout. Each visitor is assigned a personal shopper who helps navigate the store, once clients are finished, we pack up their items and load their cars for them - all at no cost.
Christmas connection works to strengthen communities by providing low- income families throughout central oklahoma with a dignified, no-cost shopping experience. Programs include christmas connection, crisis connection, and community connection. Our facility is laid out like a department store where families living at or below the poverty level can personally select items based on their needs and preferences, including clothing, shoes, hosehold items, coats, and toys.
