Mission
The ciceronian society exists to equip and encourage christian scholars to serve the church as a center of cultural and civic renewal through publications and conferences. In 2024, we held a conference in plano, texas with 113 attendees and 25 scholarly panels and 6 sponsors. Attendees and presenters included clergy, non-profit leaders, independent scholars, graduate and undergraduate students, and faculty from across the humanities and social sciences. We also published 13 podcast episodes, with over 350 downloads. Episodes focused on recent scholarly works and initiatives from parallel organizations, as well as reflections on the importance of place. Our monthly newsletter also grew rapidly, increasing by over 200 subscribers to nearly 570 by the end of the year. We published two issues of our peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal, pietas, with 10 feature articles and 8 book reviews. Finally, we were able to hire our first employee, selecting joshua bowman as an executive director
