The Leadership Summit is a signature convening that provides giving circle members within the Community Investment Network CIN with fellowship renewal and continuous learning opportunities. The Summit focuses on equipping circles with the knowledge and tools to enhance their grantmaking and overall effectiveness. Key Accomplishments: Tailored sessions on circle development and philanthropic strategy. Workshops addressing racial inequities in philanthropy. Peer learning and networking opportunities to strengthen giving circles. Capacity-building resources to enhance grantmaking effectiveness. Positioning CIN as a primary facilitator of learning opportunities for collective giving models.

The Essentials for Diversity in Giving EDG curriculum is a proprietary educational program designed to engage and empower communities of color to participate in collective philanthropy. The curriculum includes individual and group exercises that illuminate the fundamentals of philanthropy from the perspective of communities of color. Key Accomplishments: Interactive workshops on donor engagement strategies. Historical context on philanthropy in communities of color. Partnerships with community foundations and civic organizations. Creation of inclusive philanthropic practices and donor pipelines. Empowering participants to mobilize resources to address community needs.

The #WEAREPHILANTHROPISTS PROJECT formerly known as the HBCU Donors of Color Initiative was launched in Spring 2016 with the intent of inspiring and equipping college students with resources to address challenges in their communities through collective philanthropy. The program leverages current CIN giving circle members to serve as presenters and personal examples of creative philanthropy for students. The Initiative is designed for students of color at all institutions of higher learning and uses classroom sessions mentoring and convenings to create a pipeline to the next generation of philanthropists.

Love in Action is a fast-paced giving circle "experience" that allows attendees to make a grant award.
