Citizens For Pennsylvanias Future

Clean water: pennfuture continued its longstanding efforts to protect water quality in the major water basins of pennsylvania by engaging in the regulatory process assessing project developments along important waterways, and educating the general public on the benefits of state investment in clean water infrastructure. Pennfuture pursued actions to reduce stream impacts from large scale warehouse developments in the delaware river basin, advance green infrastructure in the lake erie watershed, as well as provided expertise toward the creation of new regional plans for chesapeake bay clean-up. Pennfuture also initiated new educational work around the ohio river basin.

Clean air: pennfuture continued its work to improve air quality conditions in southwest pennsylvania. This included regulatory and permit watchdogging of major pollution sources in the region as well as advocating with local officials' for new investments in the county health agency to improve monitoring, inspections, and public engagement.
