City helps primary goal is to reduce crimes committed by young people by offering resources as well as the support needed to promote a favorable and constructive atmosphere that will provide personal food and personal care packages, lower youth related crime, offer addtional essential skills and work opportunities to youth and adolescents, crisis/intervention counseling, and schooling for youth ex-offenders.

To further encourage gang resistance, city helps has collaborated extensively with local leaders and youth in various communities to provide safe environments, such as awareness and training programs; mentor and teaching support youth and family counseling, creative arts, and interpersonal relationships; and community service recognition.
