IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ILLINOIS YOUTHBUILD ACT (PUBLIC ACT 095-0524), THE ILLINOIS YOUTHBUILD COALITION WILL PROVIDE PROGRAM FUNDING TO ITS ELIGIBLE MEMBERS THROUGH SUBCONTRACTS TO OFFER EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR OPPORTUNITY YOUTH, AGES 16-24 WHO MEET THE STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS. YOUTHBUILD PROGRAMS WILL PROVIDE PROGRAMMING THAT WILL INCLUDE INTEGRATED EDUCATION AND JOB SKILLS TRAINING, COUNSELING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, NEEDS- BASED STIPENDS, PLACEMENT IN POST PROGRAM EDUCATION OR EMPLOYMENT, AND FOLLOW-UP SERVICES. IN ADDITION, PROGRAMS WILL ACQUIRE/CONSTRUCT/REHABILITATE LOW-INCOME HOUSING AND CONDUCT JOB SKILLS TRAINING AS PART OF THAT WORK.
