Civiclex strengthens community life by helping people come together across lexington through shared spaces and events. In 2024, our programs brought neighbors, local groups, and city staff together to discuss improvements to parks, safety, and growth. Through more than 100 gatherings, civiclex created opportunities for residents to meet, talk and work together--building relationships and a stronger sense of shared responsibility for the community's future.

Civic transformationciviclex works to strengthen trust and accountability between residents and local government by improving how information is shared and decisions are made. In 2024, the organization partnered with the city of lexington to update public participation processes, including clearer procedures for comment, a digital engagement platform, and new materials that help residents follow local decisions. Through efforts like the urban growth master plan, civiclex helped ensure that long-term development reflects both community priorities and responsible management. The organization also shared its approach with other cities to encourage practical, citizen-focused local governance.
