Fixapet program: cchs has established a low-cost high-quality spay/neuter program for cats, dogs, and rabbits. The program is open to everyone, regardless of location or financial need, with a goal of helping to reduce the pet overpopulation problem. In 2024, 3426 surgeries were performed, including 832 cat spays, 813 cat neuters, 809 dog spays, 830 dog neuters, 65 rabbit spays, and 77 rabbit neuters. Since fixapet began in 2007, 32759 surgeries have been performed.

Cat and dog surrenders: animals surrendered to cchs by owners unable to keep their pets. Perhaps the family is moving, allergies have developed in the family, or there is a change in family dynamics, for example a divorce or a new baby. Regardless of the reason, cchs tries to best help individuals with their pet problems. If the problem cannot be resolved, cchs accepts the animals in need and will work to find a new home for the pet. Microchipping: cchs provides microchipping services to the public at a reduced cost. We feel this truly helps people to care for their pets and certainly enables lost pets to return home safely and in a timely fashion. All pets adopted from cchs, both dogs and cats, are microchipped prior to adoption. All stray pets are also microchipped prior to being returned to their families. Stray holding facility: cchs acts as the holding facility for stray dogs and cats. These pets are held for the appropriate legal holding time to enable their owners the opportunity to find them and reclaim them. During 2024, 27 animals were returned to their owners. All unclaimed strays became available for adoption to new families.
