Clark County Latino Youth Conference

Annual youth leadership event at washington state university-vancouver campus is an opportunity for youth and their families to engage with career professionals and post-secondary educational opportunities to be informed and decide career and/or educational pathways, college and career counselors provide navigation guidance and support. We serve approximately 525 students, 15 school districts, and 35 school leaders through this program.

The charlita program is a youth-led podcast to elevate youth voice and empowerment by raising awareness on critical social issues such as environmental justice, childhood trauma, masculinity, race, culture, violence, and more and to share information and resources to build healthy and resilient communities. The charlita program engages youth across the state and regionally.

Environmental justice aims to advance health equity and environmental justice. This scope of work supports the collaborative efforts of accountable communities of health (ach) in addressing barriers for community-based organizations in their interactions with state agencies and the environmental justice council and to advance health equity and environmental justice by addressing barriers for under-served and/or under-resourced communities.

For many students and their families, school multi-tiered service support programs provide adequate access to acquire important and necessary services. For the organization's core population, the experience is simply not the same. In response to behavioral health/mental health challenges and access inequities facing our communities, underserved children/families, the organization partnered with welcome home health to redesign the care transition continuum creating an equitable and accessible systematic approach to strengthening the community-clinical linkage as well as physical-behavioral health integration for k-12 youth.
