Promotion of avalanche awareness and safety for climbers and the education of climbers and other members of the public who might be recreating in Colorado's backcountry avalanche terrain. Specifically, provides climbers with important information regarding the complexity of specific climbing areas situated in avalanche terrain, so that climbers can make informed route decisions. Also, promotes avalanche safety education for climbers and the use of avalanche safety gear when the chosen terrain and avalanche forecast warrant extra caution.
