The Early Head Start program seeks to meet the changing needs of Tazewell County by serving low-income children and their families. Not only does the Early Head Start Program seek to provide educational opportunities that help children begin their preparation for school, it also seeks to help and to empower parents as they adjust to the rapid changes that both they and their youngsters are facing. Children sixteen months through three are eligible to attend as well as pregnant mothers from throughout the county. The Early Head Start Program served 82 children during fiscal year ending 6/30/2024.

The weatherization assistance program provides funds to reduce the heating and cooling costs for low-income families and to ensure their health and safety. During the program year ending 6/30/2024, 11 homes were weatherized for individuals in tazewell and russell county.

The organization serves eligible residents of tazewell county. Additional services include, but are not limited to, senior adult services, domestic violence victim assistance and education programs.
