To unite the members in an effective organization dedicated to promoting the educational advancement for christopher newport university, to strengthen the bonds of interest between the university and its alumni, and to take other actions as may be deemed proper and essential for the steadfast advancement of the university and the corporation; to promote the corporation exclusively for educational and charitable purposes.
