Coalition For A Drug-Free Hawaii

Coalition for a Drug-Free Hawaii's (CDFH) family strengthening services work to prevent drug abuse and its effects on children and their families by providing a foundation based on values, knowledge, and skills to strengthen the entire family within a cultural context. Family programs work toward improving family cohesion, family life skills in parents and children, and family order and organization. The family programs are as follows: Strengthening Hawaii Families (SHF) Workshop Series, SHF Family Nights, and Family Intervention & Training Services including school-based counseling and juvenile drug court services.

Coalition for a Drug-Free Hawaii's (CDFH) information and public awareness services are based in its Hawaii Prevention and Treatment Resource Center (HIPTRC) which maintains the state's most comprehensive resources on substance use, prevention, treatment, and related issues available through its lending library and resource clearinghouse. The HIPTRC is open to the general public and provides consultation and technical assistance for service providers, school personnel, and others regarding resources, training, information, and available services. CDFH's Hawaii Pacific Center for Excellence provides training to further excellence in the field of substance use prevention, health, and wellness.
