Mission

The Coalition for Engaged Education is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that uses individualized mobile case management, internships, and enriching programs to empower system-impacted youth, ages 14-24, to transition into stable, fulfilling lives.

Programs

1 program

Mobile Case Management: The Coalition for Engaged Education assists L.A. County youth impacted by the juvenile justice and/or foster care systems. For 30 years the Coalition has empowered youth from historically marginalized populations and economically disadvantaged households to break the cycles of poverty, trauma, and recidivism in which too many are caught. To date the Coalition has served over 4,100 youth. The Coalition's interventions are organized around our innovative Positive Youth Development through mobile case management model. Case Resource Specialists (CRSs) meet participants wherever they are, eliminating barriers to service; this real-time support helps youth access our comprehensive array of services just when they are needed. The CRSs' own lived experiences of being systems-impacted makes them trusted guides in helping their young clients develop socially and emotionally stable foundations for success.
