Building the movement encompasses a series of projects designed to build a movement of educators dedicated to educational achievement of boys and young men of color. Components include building membership including regional clustors of members, development of policy positions and support for advocacy on behalf of those positions, raising the visibility of coseboc and the affirmative development of boys and young men of color,including strengthening the operating infrastructure of coseboc to support its programs and services.
Coseboc's leadership academy initiative is designed to address a series of inter-related goals and objectives including; compile and disseminate resources on models and promising practices from schools demonstrating success in educating male students of color and on the styles and practices of the leaders of these schools and provide services to schools that enable them to re-imagine and transform their schooling for boys and young men of color.
